What changed in Krans.

Release by release, newest first.

  1. New

Decisions: Krans surfaces the calls that are yours to make

Krans reads what it knows about your venture and pulls out the decisions you need to make. Each one opens with what it noticed, then says which way it would go and why.

You can argue with it. Ask what would have to be true for the option it turned down, and it argues against itself with your own evidence.

  2. New

Chat: ask your venture anything from your own data

The chat has read your calls, deals, signals and documents. Open it during a call and ask what is blocking a deal.

Every answer shows what it is based on. Nothing is guesswork. Each claim carries a score and a source.

  3. Improved

    Communications now come from Krans

Emails, invites and release notes now come from Krans. The app and sender addresses move to Krans later, with notice before any change.

Redirects will follow on the address you already use. Nothing is needed on your side.

  4. New

Positions: the decisions your venture has to make

Krans reads everything it knows about a venture and pulls out the decisions that are yours to make. A card opens with what Krans noticed, then the decision that follows from it. Cards marked Needs you are ready to decide. Needs data means it will not take a view yet.

Inside a position: which way Krans would go and why, the sources it used, and three options. Pick one, bet on one with a deadline, or park it. Ask what would have to be true for the option it turned down, and it argues against itself with your own evidence.

Open Context, pick a category, and click any card.

  5. New

Ask Krans: a chat that has read your whole venture

The chat has read your calls, deals, signals and documents. Every answer shows what it is based on. Open it on a call and ask what is blocking the deal, and the answer is about that deal, including where the latest call contradicts what Krans had before.

It knows your name and which venture you are in, and it remembers what you asked earlier in the conversation. Ask Krans sits at the bottom left of any page, or press Command and 0.

  6. Improved

Context updates every night, with a score and a source on every claim

Everything Krans says comes from your own calls and documents. It keeps what it has learned in one place, called Context, and every claim there carries a score and a source. Context now refreshes every night for every venture.

Context is in the top nav. Overview is the whole picture, the rail splits it by area.

  7. Improved

Threads show where each deal stands

Krans's read of each deal now sits across the top of its thread, including a budget line taken from a number the other side said out loud.

Lost deals stay in the stage where you lost them, hidden until you ask. Losing at discovery and losing at proposal are two different problems. The show-all toggle brings them back.

  8. Improved

Merge or unlink speakers on a call, plus sign-in and player updates

If a transcript puts the wrong people on a call, you can now merge or unlink them yourself, right on the call. Names like van der Berg and names with accents come through properly.

Also new: sign in with Google, Microsoft or a password. Playback speed on the call player. Company pages show their threads beside them. Calls take their date from the title or filename.

  9. Fixed

Fixes: call dates, signal summaries, owners and deleted companies

Change a call's date and its thread follows. Signal summaries read every call on a company, not just the first. Assigning an owner refreshes the board straight away. Deleting a company no longer blanks out its threads.

  10. New

Threads: every conversation with a company becomes one story

Until now, every call lived on its own. Threads groups all your conversations with the same company into one thread and writes the story of how that relationship is progressing. Each thread is one relationship, a deal, a partnership, a hire or an investor conversation, moving through its own pipeline.

Give a thread an owner and see the whole board at a glance. Open Threads in the top nav. Every company you have spoken with is already a thread.

  11. New

Granola, Microsoft Teams and Notion join the connections

Connect Granola once and your meetings sync in automatically. Microsoft Teams recordings come in on their own, Google Meet calls flow in as they happen, Read.ai brings in existing recordings, and transcript upload covers anything else. Connect Notion so Krans learns from your docs, not just your calls.

Everything flows through one pipeline: calls become learnings, learnings become signals, signals become the context you run your venture on. Go to your account, then Connections.

  12. New

MCP: your venture brain inside Claude

Krans has an MCP connection, a simple way to plug your venture's intelligence straight into Claude or any tool that speaks MCP. Ask questions about your own venture in plain language and get answers grounded in your real calls, with sources. Search every conversation, pull your strongest signals, ask where each deal stands.

In Krans, go to your account, then Connections, and copy your MCP connection. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add it as a custom connector.

  13. Improved

Less to navigate: reflections move into calls, Network becomes Contacts

Reflections now live inside each call, so the separate aggregated overview is gone. Knowledge is off for now while something bigger takes its place. Network is now called Contacts. The theme is just Light and Dark.

  14. Fixed

Fixes: reflections, journey, signals, thumbnails and speakers

A confirmed win no longer reads as a miss in reflections. The journey stops freezing when you switch phase. Coaching and training calls stay out of your signals. Video call thumbnails generate again. Contacts keep their roles and companies. Steadier speaker identification.
